NO mom its nothing

I started this blog to write about all the events in my life and everything that effects me, this includes my family. There are a million reasons why I would not want my mom to read anything I have written here.

First of all, she hates that fact that I like to talk about my life. As far as my mom is concerned, your life is yours, and yours alone. When I told my birth story on television two weeks ago, she could just have died. If my mom had to read what I wrote about things like poop, I know she would probably not talk to me for a year. She cant even talk about having a wind for Pete sake, I could count the amount of times I saw her go the bathroom ever!!

My mom, bless her heart, is a very conservative lady. She grew up that way so I cant blame her for her misjudgements. So there are things like the ones I am writing about her here, that she would flip out over completely.

She was always aware of the issues in our house, but she did not dare utter them and if anybody brought them up, she would be far less than pleased. "Those things are not for discussion" she would say.
I am not even allowed to disclose her age because 'ladies don't talk about their age'. Well I suppose that is a good thing for her though because she most definitely does not look like her age.

So here's the deal, my dear old mom knows about the blog (sort of) but really has no idea what I write about and actually cant understand why I would want a blog, facbook account or twitter page at all.

So lets home she does not read this :)

This Post was inspired my Mama Kat's writers Workshop Prompt no. 3.

Why I’m not inviting my mother to read my blog…

All mom's are like this I guess. My mom is quite conservation and because of this I have not shared what I write on my blog but she is a angel in my life.

I am your newest follower :)

There was a point (not too long ago actually) that if my moom wasn't reading my blog, nobody would've been! She's always supported my writing and for that I am glad. She does get all bent out of shape if I drop a naughty word on my blog. That's why it's mostly curse free; I don't want to get her is-that-the-mouth-you-kiss-your-mother-with phone calls!

I always enjoy your posts M.Jay. My mom's whole family is on the conservative side, so I understand where you are coming from. You will definitely not find many curse words on my site either. Mom's, you gotta love them! Stopping by from Mama Kat's

when I started my blog the purpose was to share family photos and adventures of our life as parents. It was pretty much JUST my parents plus a few others who read it.

Now, after almost 3 years of blogging my style has changed and I probably share a bit more than I should...so I kinds hope my mom doesn't read it anymore ;)

I doubt she does...she barely knows how to use a computer LOL

I'm so pleased that you wrote on the subject I came up with! I enjoy reading your blog. It's so super interesting to me to hear about people from other places... and so super cool to know that people from those other places are so similar to people from here.
I guess you always expect things to be so much different half a world away. But your mom could totally be MY mom..lol.
I love your blog, and i loved this post!
